Job Description:

The Retail/Box Office Manager is a customer facing employee responsible for the friendly and fast execution of our ticket distribution strategy as well as oversight of the gift shop.  This position will supervise the box office & retail staff. Ensure excellent customer service is provided. He/she is responsible for knowledge of events in the venue, ticketing options, transactions related to ticketed events including selling of tickets when required.  Supervises sales associate activities. Exercise good judgment in resolving guest or inventory problems according to department and company policies and procedures. Participate in retail selling when needed.


Qualifications:

·         Is ready to serve and informed of daily information; builds relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting.

·         Anticipates needs and provides fast, flawless service.

·         Checks for satisfaction and properly uses the Service Recovery process to resolve problems when they exist.

·         Processes transactions with regard to ticketing for both cash and comp tickets, and provides information regarding all programming in the entertainment venue.

·         Promotes Total Rewards programs and card membership.

·         Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting.

·         Assists the guest in obtaining general information for upcoming shows and ensures retail sellers are up to speed on current show information.

·         Responsible for supporting casino marketing venue events and assist with promotions and special events when necessary.

·         Updating and monitoring suite guest list and accessible seating guest list.

·         Updates ticketing sales report daily.

·         Receives and makes all cancellations in EMS for all events booked in venue.

·         Works closely with host team regarding specific customer ticket requests/needs.

·         Works with Accounting to deduct reward credits and charge credit cards for all no shows.

·         Gathers all analysis of tickets for Casino Marketing block.

·         Sends reports to P & A, and resolves audits/exceptions for all events.

·         Must check all on-sales on Tuesday prior to presale/on-sale, works with National Ticketing Manager to manage blocks @ on-sale and day before show days.

·         Executes all radio and media orders and will call fulfillment with C3/Horseshoe.

·         Supervision and training of ticketing staff.

·         Review guest’s complaints and take corrective action where necessary.

·         Coaches and counsels employees in regard to violating policies and poor performance standards.

·         Plans, schedules and assigns work activities and staff.

·         Provide guidance and support to staff by developing procedures, implement performance reviews and providing feedback.

·         Supervise employees engaged in cashier duties both in the Gift Shop and Box Office.

·         Review  merchandise received and assign stocking duties.

·         Track over/shorts by cashiers. Complete over/short report monthly.

·         Review store inventory, direct re-stocking and display.

·         Contact vendors regarding damaged items and coordinate the return of such items.

·         Train new employees and update all employees on new product, policies and procedures.

·         Participate in physical inventory procedures. Update inventory listing and enter inventory into system.

·         Review new merchandise check-in, ticketing and display.

·         Maintain housekeeping standards in the Gift Shop and stockrooms.

·         Communicate and register problems to I.S and notify Gift Shop Manager.

·         Have an awareness of current budget and work toward department sales goals.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.
