Manager of Strategic Alliances


JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager of Strategic Alliances (Travel) will be primarily responsible for driving revenue and margin via company's partnerships with key cruise operators, most notably Norwegian Cruise Lines. Manager will also ensure that cruise programming is delivered with excellence: from marketing communications to customer experience. In addition, Manager will have the opportunity to work on other new and existing partnerships within the travel space (e.g. hospitality, airline). With respect to the cruise business, manager will work effectively with stakeholders across Caesars, most notably Regional Marketing and Special Events leaders, as well as stakeholders at each of our cruise alliance partners. Manager will develop and own a master calendar, create and implement marketing plans to drive awareness of cruise opportunities for CET guests, and collaborate with casino property colleagues to plan and implementat cruise promotions. Manager will also work with finance/analysis counterparts at cruise partner to ensure that budgets and revenue are tracked and paid out as appropriate, and with Caesars enterprise analytics to assess the effectiveness of cruise programs and proactively generate insights that can be incorporated into improving the scale and profitability of cruise programs. Job will involve moderately frequent travel to CET properties, cruise partner headquarters, and cruise ships. This role involves exposure to and interation with external partners, and multiple functions internally. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

 
    

 

Deliver annual revenue and margin objectives with a combination of internal salesmanship/influence, strategy, and effective execution
    

 

Develop strategy for achieving cruise alliance financial objectives while ensuring a high quality customer experience
    

 
Evaluate, build and manage new partnerships within the broader travel category    

Work with regional marketing leaders and special events team to develop a master plan for cruise events and promotions throughout the year
    

 

Negotiate the terms and oversee the logistics of individual cruise promotions by functioning as the liaison between cruise partner and property/special events marketers
    

 

Oversee cruise alliance budget; monitor costs and ensure that commission payments are paid and distributed appropriately
    

 

Work with cruise alliance partners to develop on-going reporting documents as well as ad hoc data
    

 

Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics to perform analyses on the impact of cruise events, use findings to provide updates to CET stakeholders and to adjust strategy as appropriate
    

 

Function as the internal champion of cruise programs to ensure that CET stakeholders understand the value and importance of cruise programming
    

 

Ensure that cruise partners are delivering on all deal terms (financial, analytica, customer service), and ensure CET is providing them the support they need to execute effectively for our guests
    

 

Develop communications plan to market standing cruise benefit options (e.g. 7 Stars Annual Cruise) to TR members
    

 

Collaborate with revenue management division of cruise partner to take advantage of short term, low cost cruise opportunities for CET guests
    

 
    

 
    

 


Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 
    

 

Bachelor's Degree required, Masters Degreee preferred
    

 

6+ years of experience in marketing, operations, or alliances. Cross functional experience a plus. Leisure or hospitality experience a plus, particularly exposure to cruise industry.
    

 

Strong analytical acumen, strength in utilizing data to tell a story and inform decisions
    

 

Significant experience developing and structuring presentations, as well as strong command of Excel
    

 

Track record of working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to drive long term plans
    

 

Comfort with ownership of financial targets
    

 

Strong presentation skills and comfort with leading conversations and driving agenda with external partners and internal colleagues
    

 

Proven organization, attention to detail, and project management skills. Comfort with both thinking strategically and carrying out specific tasks efficiently to move operations forward
    

 

Strong communications skills and ability to influence and manage relationships

Fast-paced and dynamic, with regular travel. Majority of time spent in corporate office setting, but events and business meetings at Casino properties and Cruise partner locations will be common.
