Host Clerk

Job Description:

1.       Greets and serves guests in the Host Office in a pleasant, professional manner as needed.

2.       Assists the Casino Hosts with reservations and mailings.

3.       Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.

4.       Notifies Casino Hosts and/or Host Manager of any guest complaints so that they may be resolved in a fair, equitable manner.

5.       Interfaces with other departments to ensure proper handling of guests’ reservations and complimentary amenities.

6.       Composes and types correspondence, reports and other miscellaneous paperwork for the Casino Hosts.

7.       Files correspondence and other records.

8.       Answers the telephone in the Host Office and provides information to callers or routes calls to the appropriate individual.

9.       Receives and distributes facsimiles and mail to the department staff.

10.   Reviews invoices from vendors for office supplies to ensure receipt and accuracy.


Qualifications:
Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.  Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.

 

EDUCATION:            High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

 

EXPERIENCE:          Minimum of two years in gaming, marketing, customer service or public relations

 

ABILITIES:               1.   Literate and fluent in English

2.       Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and sales skills

3.       Superior guest service skills

4.       Ability to resolve problems to the satisfaction of both the customer and the company

5.       Computer literate; experience with CMS/LMS systems desired

6.       Ability to independently maintain high levels of productivity
