Sr Web Marketing Manager

Cadence is looking for a strong and highly experienced Web Marketing Manager to operate and enhance our diverse customer facing web environment, aligning with the company’s strategic initiatives and executing web best practices. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in one of the EDA industry’s leading technology companies. The ideal candidate has a thorough grasp of web best practices and is strategically minded, but can also handle all the tactical aspects of website management. Proven experience is crucial to this senior role, coupled with a proactive and energetic approach to continually advance the Cadence online presence to deliver results to the business. Success will be measured by the candidate’s definition and delivery of key site improvements, effective support of corporate and technology Marketing campaigns, improvement of user experience and traffic patterns in across the site, and operational effectiveness.


• Oversee the development of Cadence Marketing web properties (corporate site, special program sites, campaign micro-sites, e-Marketing, etc.) aligning with business and stakeholder requirements.

• Manage the information architecture, site features, look and feel, and brand alignment, ensuring a best practice user experience. Apply new technologies, new media, social media and emerging standards to drive user engagement.

• Develop a roadmap for site enhancements based on corporate initiatives, identified opportunities, and user feedback.

• Drive the home page editorial calendar and zone content updates, with message consistency and timely, continuous content refresh across the site.

• Define and implement best practices for e-Marketing email campaigns, landing pages, and premium content delivery.

• Support and evolve the Cadence user community featuring blogs and forums.

• Leverage Omniture site metrics and other tools to monitor site traffic and evaluate opportunities for improvement. Establish standards to report on key metrics in the operation of sites, generating monthly reports for distribution.

• Interface with Cadence IT for infrastructure requirements that meet site functionality, performance and uptime expectations.

• Directly manage the team of web producers and IT web developers. Interface with the Creative Services team for brand alignment.  

• Establish and leverage an external web agency to complement the in-house team for design and best practice execution

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 6-8 years of Web Marketing experience. 2-3 years of social media experience. Bachelor’s degree. High tech industry experience is a plus.

• Understanding of basic marketing fundamentals, content creation and integration, campaign development and marketing promotion.

• Proven track record. A portfolio of accomplishments is required that reflects experience in site development, from large-scale sites to micro-sites and e-Marketing landing pages.

• Highly results-oriented. Forward-thinking, with an aggressive ‘can-do’ attitude, and a passion for setting the bar high, then meeting or exceeding expectations.

• Good eye for design and how to develop effective interfaces for the best experience and content delivery.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop comprehensive project plans, and manage multiple programs concurrently.

• Excellent communications and people skills. Able to build long-term relationships with internal clients based on thorough planning, timely and professional communication, and intelligent problem-solving. Extremely service and detail orientated.

• Effective team leader who can motivate and mobilize direct and indirect resources and lead efforts across disciplines.

• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of web development including user experience, information architecture, content development, rich media and social media.

• Deep familiarity with Web analytics and SEO experience, with a strong appreciation for the technical aspects of site operation.
