Standards Architect

    Create and maintain a list of CSR stakeholders for the SDOs regularly providing information and guidance to stakeholders within CSR on developments in standards/specifications to ensure that CSR's products take best advantage of developments in standards/specifications

 

·          Gather information from stakeholders to ensure that SDOs work is aligned with expected market/technology developments. This function will include both the short term steering of current work in SDOs and also longer term work taking future customer and market requirements and addressing them through SDO roadmaps

 

·          Prioritise, manage and track memberships and participation in SDOs including activities in committees/working groups by the Global Standards team, direct stakeholders and other CSR staff, to ensure that CSR is represented in areas of strategic importance. This function will include working throughout CSR to raise the profile of standards/specification work and to gain resources for SDO work

 

·          Work directly with SDOs to develop, prototype and maintain specifications, test specifications and standards/specification development processes, assuming leadership positions where necessary (e.g. directors, chairs, vice chairs, editors)

 

·          Where we cannot directly influence SDOs, recognise this and develop and maintain relationships with influential and key people, managing lobbying within the SDOs and elsewhere to promote directions for the good of the overall industry and CSR

 

·          Develop and deliver training courses, to promote awareness and knowledge of standards/specifications throughout CSR

 

·          Work within CSR to co-ordinate planning and delivery of interoperable prototypes for new specifications/standards

 

·          Assist SDOs with media presentations, and speak/write authoritatively on standards related matters on behalf of CSR
