Software Developer

Description

At CSG International, you will work as part of a team that supplies its Inter-mediatE™ software and professional services to U.S. Government agencies for data normalization and error management within the enterprise. This position is based in the Baltimore-Washington corridor, Maryland and requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.

You will be responsible for:
· Interface with customers to gather detail technical requirements for assigned projects.
· Write technical specifications from customer requirements. Specifications describe detail process flow and logic.
· Develop code necessary to implement customer requirements.
· Perform unit and system testing of own code.
· Acquire operational skills in company's application software.
· Provide support to client as necessary.
· Adhere to defined project management standards.
· Communicate with project manager any risks associated with customer's detail requirements.
· Communicate with project manager any problems or delays in developing project requirements.
· Duties will be performed at customer's site.

Qualifications

We are looking for:
· BS or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering or a technically related field.
· Current TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph.
· Essential skills required include:
        Database development using SQL and PL/SQL
        Database Administration (DBA)
        Shell scripting in a UNIX environment
        Knowledge of OLTP and DW design
        Comfortable in UNIX and Windows environments
· Preferred skills include:
        Oracle Application Express (APEX, aka HTML DB)
       DBA Backup and Recovery
       DBA Performance Tuning
       Bash scripting
       Java
       Python
· Plus" skills include:
       SQL*Developer
       Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
       TOAD
       ErWin
       MS Office
       Other Web development languages (PHP, Ruby, etc.)
· Requires at least 2 years of technical experience in product design, product development, and/or product implementation.
· Technical knowledge in software development methodologies and design.
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Experience gathering and analyzing information for the development of effective solutions to problems or situations.
· Strong written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
· Self motivated individual who works well in a team environment.
