Java Software Development Engr

CSG International's Interactive Messaging development group is currently hiring a Software Development Engineer to be part of a team working on the development of leading edge applications. The group is made up of highly motivated individuals that represent some of the best talent in the industry. The Interactive Messaging team follows an Agile methodology that emphasizes teamwork and close collaboration with business owners. It is committed to continuous improvement in how software is developed and it hires likeminded individuals that thrive in such an environment.

*   A passion for technology and its use to solve business problems in a timely and robust manner.
*   Ability to work with a cross functional Agile team to develop new components in a highly iterative fashion. Involves close collaboration with product owners and QA.
*   Active participation in project and team design meetings.
*   Work effectively with various internal teams to help identify and correct application issues.
*   Assist in resolving complex technical issues.
*   Perform under supervision while working with team to develop complex applications and business solutions.

Qualifications

*   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
*   1-2 years professional experience in a software development position preferred.
*   Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate on complex applications and multi-technology solutions.
*   Knowledge and experience in both structured (C) and object-oriented (Java, C++) programming paradigms.
*   Solid understanding of MySQL or similar relational database frameworks preferred.
*   Some level of experience with both front-end and dynamic web development techniques a plus.
*   Familiarity with IVR programming and development a plus.
