Technical Project Manager

CGI is looking for a Project Manager to join our Federal Business Unit in our Fairfax, VA office who will support the EPA account team. The project is a Service Oriented Architecture-based network that handles the exchange of environmental data between EPA and its stakeholders (states, tribes, municipalities, private industry). The program builds, operates, and maintains this network and is responsible for building the data flows and environmental applications that operate on and integrate on the network.

Responsibilities:
Project management, client relationship management, staff and resource planning, financial management

Required Skills:
Background in managing complex SDLC projects from either a functional or technical perspective required. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to proactively recognize risk and mitigate appropriately. Ability to drive organic growth through high quality delivery.
Ability to lead JAD and Requirement gathering sessions; Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and author Requirements, Design documentation for complex software implementation efforts; Ability to plan, lead and execute system and User Acceptance Testing sessions; Excellent communication skills are a must (writing, presenting, etc.); Proficient in MS Office product suite including MS Project

•Required Skills
Knowledge of Web Application frameworks such as Java/J2EE, Microsoft .NET, PHP, or Ruby
•Knowledge of data center environments including servers, SANs, virtualization, and network topology
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to work on a self-directed team
•A passion for problem solving
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
