We have an immediate need for Electrical Technicians

Job Description:

Great opportunity for a direct position for two Electrical Technicians with one of our clients in Los Angeles, CA. These Electrical Technicians will provide technical expertise in troubleshooting electrical problems on locomotive and coach equipment.

Will provide coaching and guidance to other staff to heighten their abilities to repair equipment.

Will be a role model for time keeping and a team player who demonstrates organizational commitment and awareness.

Will be responsible for troubleshooting and fault detection of coach and locomotive electrical systems, sub-systems, and components.

Will be expected to use holistic approach in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures, and identify the extent of the damage, provide feedback on the length of repair, and provide information on material requirements.

Will perform scheduled inspections and progressive maintenance
inspections and unscheduled repairs.

Will inspect equipment and complete repairs to ensure that locomotives and coaches are properly prepared for service.

Will perform modifications from drawings, prints of wiring schematics on coaches and locomotives.
Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions as well as i
n a 24 hour, 7 days a week working environment. Must work safely and follow all work procedures.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a high school diploma along with a minimum two years experience in the railroad industry (preferably in locomotives), and able to pass an electrical test.
