Project Manager
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
MANAGE WORKFLOW:
Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of all print tactics and insure that they are created to spec and are delivered on time. This includes opening jobs, creating and maintaining schedules, updating the job status in FileMaker, generating job jackets, securing extensions, routing comps, mechanicals and proofs for approvals, prioritizing workload to insure that all deadlines are being met and processing art requests.
EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION:
Communicate the status of projects in a clear and concise manner in both writing and speech. This includes providing verbal updates in both daily and weekly status meetings and at Pre-Pro’s, sending out the daily Hot List and series Disk Lists (as needed) and providing e:mails with updates, timing, changes or problems to Red Group/Partners to insure that the team knows the latest status of their jobs.
TEAMWORK:
Demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team by being service-oriented, flexible and reliable when helping co-workers to accomplish their jobs/tasks at hand. Establish and foster positive working relationships with Red Group/Partners and be seen as a “go to” person and a resource for the company. Work closely with the Proofreader, Writers, Designers, Production, Account Services, the Studio and Partners to help facilitate accurate and timely delivery of materials.
DECISION MAKING / PROBLEM SOLVING:
Demonstrate the ability to make effective and timely decisions by using good judgment that will have a favorable outcome and a positive impact on all jobs. Build confidence and respect of co-workers by flagging potential problems, addressing concerns and providing innovative solutions in a timely fashion.
PROFICIENCY IN ADVERTISING:
Demonstrate a complete understanding the Advertising business by being able to read and execute a media plan; create print, outdoor and added-value schedules and know the timing required to produce each tactic; determine premiere and post-premiere tune-in and time zones; be able read and process information on spec sheets and insertions orders; understand how to composite Magazine/Newspaper sizes; generate series Disk Lists to determine how to prioritize tactics on a media plan; understand the overall Key Art process; and demonstrate the ability to be proactive, organized and detailed-oriented.
DIGITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT:
Help to facilitate distribution of digital assets for interdepartmental and external use.
SECONDARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to the Primary Job Responsibilities, this position is also responsible for the following:
Handling the following administrative responsibilities in the absence of the Director, Project Management:

Assuming the day-to-day operations and acting as the point person for the Project Management dept
*
Sending out the Advertising Status to the Partners, Media and Red Group employees
*
Reviewing workloads to insure that the work is balanced among the department
Managing digital assets for various Partners. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*
Managing digital asset consistency and technical content across three media platforms (print,digital, on-air) for series campaigns and special projects.
*
Working with IT/Studio to offer solutions to improve how we manage and distribute our digital assets.
*
Working with AFM Partners to provide CBS and external vendors with the series assets.
*
Working with DMA Partners to provide series assets for TV City and various airlines.
*
Working with NMA to provide suggestions for social media and viral content.
*
Working with SET Partners to provide assets that are needed to promote various live events.
*
Working with external vendors to confirm they have the assets needed in the formats requested.
Evolving our process and procedures and providing suggestions for how we can improve workflow.
PRIMARY TACTICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for managing the following projects:

New Series (Medium to Large size) ADV Print Campaigns
*
Returning Series (Medium to Large size) ADV Print Campaigns
*
Corporate Communication Press Kits (1-2 per year)
*
Marketing Tactics
Required Skills/Experience
*
Ability to manage and prioritize a large volume of jobs with tight deadlines from conception to completion
*
Proficient in the Print Production process, with the ability to create and maintain production schedules
*
Proficient in Advertising, with the ability to read and successfully execute a media plan
*
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
*
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player
*
