PROPOSAL MANAGER


Job Description

    *
      Be a part of the Military Proposals Team responsible for the coordination, execution, management and delivery of winning proposals.
    *
      Leading the proposal to meet the winning themes.
    *
      Identifying CAE discriminators that increase the probability of win.
    *
      Reviewing solicitation documents (RFP, RFI, etc.) to understand the proposal deliverables, capture the customer’s needs, and translate them into winning themes.
    *
      Defining the proposal strategy to address customer requirements in the most cost effective manner, while leveraging CAE core technologies and off the shelf products.
    *
      Leading the preparation and presenting Proposal reviews to management.
    *
      Developing timely, quality proposals in line with customer requirements, while promoting reuse and consistency across bids.
    *
      Interfacing with Sales, Marketing, PM, and other engineering functions during the preparation and validation of the proposal.
    *
      Preparing cost basis of estimates and cost comparisons in support of cost analysis and justification.
    *
      Ensuring program risks are identified, quantified and recommend mitigation plans.
    *
      Preparing program schedules in collaboration with Program Management.
    *
      Negotiating and validating workshare allocations between global CAE sites for intercompany proposals.
    *
      Interfacing occasionally with customers
    * Supporting growth and improvement initiatives as required.

 
Job Qualification

    *
      Bachelor of engineering or equivalent experience.
    *
      Minimum five years of relevant experience in a high tech industry.
    *
      Ability to quickly learn, understand and breakdown complex, high-tech systems with multiple hardware and software components.
    *
      Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision and under pressure.
    *
      Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    *
      Result-oriented, innovative and creative.
    *
      Good organizational skills and business acumen.
    *
      Ability to deal with ambiguity, customer focused, with excellent decision making and negotiation skills.
    *
      Previous experience/exposure to Military Proposals is an asset.
    *
      General knowledge of flight simulators and/or aircraft is an asset.
    *
      Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
