Software Consultant (Support Manager)
- Supervise, coach and mentor team members to promote professional growth and enhancement of technical capabilities.
- Set team’s direction and goals, and responsible for delivering team performance targets.
- Work with the Cluster Heads on resource planning, financial planning and budgeting.
- Improve team’s productivity by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in tools, training, processes, reporting and employee engagement.
Pre-sales Support & Management
- Provide pre-sales support to sales team with demonstration system, presentation on application solution, technical solution, implementation and support services efforts and agreements.
- Develop a strong relationship with the sales teams to increase sales for implementation and support services. This includes provision of such service related matters to achieve negotiation and closure of service contracts with clients, partner and contractors.
Application Support, Resolution & Management (BAU for Production Support and Implementation)
- Manage team to ensure that all support requests/service requests are dealt with according to the agreed procedures.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures in providing application support services in accordance to service level agreement.
- Develop standards in providing application support services and review impact analysis of the required change to the application.
- Participate in quality calibration and validation sessions of solution/resolution provided by technical support consultants.
- Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved and the customers are satisfied with the support services provided.
- Review periodic report on the issues raised/resolved, and identify trends of issues raised.
- Communicate and negotiate with stakeholders and external parties on application support related matters.
- Manage external partners/providers supplying assistance with the technical support for the software applications
- Conduct regular business continuity planning and execution exercise to ensure that support function can be carried out in the event of contingency.
- Conform to the company’s adopted processes.
- Bachelor degree in computer science/engineering OR equivalent education and experience.
- At least 8 years of working experience in application development and support, presales and team management functions.
- Good understanding and experience in project management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) are necessary.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have experience in providing technical solution. Domain knowledge in Clearing and Payment is an added advantage.
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality, strict timeline and business profit
- Demonstrate good analytical and trouble-shooting skills, as well as capable of making quick and sound decisions.
- Demonstrate professional knowledge and expertise in pre-sales support for various local and overseas clients, internal and external clients.
- Strong leadership for directing and growing the team.
- Proven record of good team management and proven experience to bring forth better product development and revenue are added advantages.
