Program Manager - Business Quality

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and proficiency in analyzing large sets of data Good people management skills; comfort leading and developing teams Experience in technology or working with technical team Process improvement experience such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Operational Excellence Strong organizational design and recruiting skills; proven ability to build large, high-performance teams quickly Retail Systems is responsible for building tools and automated processes for Amazon the Retailer. We build the technology required to manage selection, maintain competitive pricing, forecast demand, buy products and deal with vendors. Pricing Analytics and Operations is an integral part of Retail Systems enabling Amazons pricing strategy and operations. The teams primary role is to provide on-time and accurate inputs to help make great pricing decisions, to drive efficient processes to ensure Amazons price competitiveness and to drive the quality and accuracy of such decisions though relentless process improvements. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions. Best Price Wide Selection Most Convenience The Program Manager- Business Quality in Amazon Retail Systems group will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, strategy, quality and productivity of the Business Audit team in Chennai and will own a variety of function wide goals on process innovation, automation and improvement. In addition to leading and managing a growing and specialized team of audit experts, he/she will be the primary point of contact for all audit processes and impact for the site, for all stakeholders in these marketplaces (Amazon Internal Customers from NA, EU and/or JP) and must therefore be comfortable and confident liaising with remote teams. Scope of work: The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. You will be leading a multi-skilled team and will need to direct, manage and provide leadership to audit experts and interact directly with Amazon internal customers across the globe to deliver on their requirements. Managing functional projects and working directly with the technology team to scale the audit coverage & scope non linearly. You will also be the involved in functional budgeting and reporting activities. Challenges: A highly complex audit environment and a team with varied skills, with global accountabilities. Need to work on multiple high impact projects with competing priorities Independent decision making Key Performance Areas: Operational Efficiency & Accuracy Metrics Management using automation and technology.
