Installation Specialist HS


The Installation Specialist (IS) performs onsite installation and training services for implementation of Agilysys software and resold hardware products. The IS will primarily operate as a secondary or team resource to an established Project Lead and/or Project Manager or may be positioned to lead portions of a project as part of a project team during an installation engagement. The IS must be able to efficiently manage the planning and communication of assigned project tasks, communicate professionally to co-workers, project stake holders and customers, learn new products and processes quickly, balance multiple priorities, and develop a solid understanding of Agilysys products (hardware and software) in all vertical markets.

    * Manage daily task list. Work with Project Lead to assure follow-through of assigned task, and report on daily progress or issues to Project Lead and Team. Work with and develop good customer relations while conducting and completing project tasks.
    * Conduct end user and system training in support of go live operations during an implementation.
    * Perform product configuration and provide consultation and recommendations to customers on configuration best practices.
    * Configure and test system interfaces in order to maximize efficiency and provide operational consistency. Configure network devices, including VPNs, access points, Systech devices, interface servers and printers. Test integrity of network communication.
    * Live monitor operations by providing end user assistance for the various business cases the Agilysys product line is implemented.


      Bachelor's degree in related field and/or work experience in the hospitality and/or technology field(s).
      1-3 years of installation/IT experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
      Good understanding of business accounting practices.
      Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with an orientation and dedication to customer service, must be able to exhibit thorough, analytical, logical problem solving ability, must take direction well, meet deadlines while being flexible in regards to the schedules of customers and teammates.
      Strong ability to manage work load in a rapidly changing environment.
      Must demonstrate advanced written and oral communication skills.
      Expertise in MS Office products and database software.
      Ability to work well in a team environment.
      Must be able to lift 30 pounds and perform job duties while standing for extended periods of time.
      Must be able to work nights and weekends.
      Be available to travel in less than a day's notice.
      Be available to travel up to 90% of year to customer sites with little advance notice.
      Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
      Must be able to obtain corporate credit card and must be able to efficiently manage project expenses.

Desired Qualifications:

      Point of Sale experience.
      Consultation experience in related field.
      Experience in Food & Beverage industry.
      Experience in performing system audits.
