Major Account Executive HS

Major Account Executive for the Hotel and Resorts vertical within hospitality.  This position will manage a territory within the US of existing accounts as well as prospecting that territory for new accounts.  They will be responsible for selling all Agilysys software and hardware products within that territory. These products include PMS, POS, Document Imaging, Inventory Procurement and others A knowledge of and experience within the hospitality industry would be a plus.

    * Act as primary point of contact for a specified list of customers, fielding all requests that are not handled through standard company procedures and contacts, forwarding all requests to the appropriate parties within the company and ensuring timely and appropriate response and follow-up.
    * Develop relationships with customers, engendering trust through consistent, efficient, and caring attention to their needs and follow through on their expectations. Maintain regular communication with the customers.
    * Work cooperatively with the sales managers to develop the customer relationship and manage the account.
    * Work cooperatively with the Customer Care Services to solve technical problems and requests. Serve as first level escalation. Provide education on specific customer configurations, needs and expectations.
    * Work cooperatively with the administrative departments to resolve invoicing issues, schedule shipments, and resolve other miscellaneous administrative issues.
    * Provide regular reporting of technical support open issues and installation project status to the customer. Hosting regular conference calls as necessary with key clients to maintain a perception of high levels of communication with the customer.
    * Provide regular reporting of account status to the sales manager and upper management.
    * The successful Account Manager candidate must possess the ability to make decisions that maximize profitability of the company while still maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
    * A minimum of five years experience in a customer facing position, including Sales, Level II Technical Representative, or Customer Relationship Management

    * Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    * Time and process management focus.
    * Ability to communicate comfortably across all levels of corporate structure.
    * Ability to thrive in a changing environment.
    * Understands how to take strategy and translate that into business tactics that can be implemented

    * Lead and/or participate effectively on a team and work with other teams.
    * Ability to perform and accomplish job requirements on a day-to-day basis with little or no direction and/or supervision.
    * Ability to manage effectively by establishing a learning environment and philosophy that facilitates a successful outcome.
    * Ability to make adjustments quickly to meet a goal and/or changing circumstances (changed work schedules, customer needs, strategic directions of the company, etc.).
    * Ability to maintain a high degree of integrity and ethical behavior in all business activities and decisions.
    * Must have demonstrated ability to take initiative and work in a self-directed manner.
