HR Business Partner

Our client, a global leader in their market place, is currently looking for a confident and experienced HR Business Partner for their Midlands operation. This will be an exciting and challenging contract position with you reporting directly into the Regional Head of HR. You will be responsible for covering a multitude of generalist HR duties across the Midlands region and will be expected to work on your own autonomy. You will work within the HR team and be expected to manage and proactively resolve all aspects of the employee life cycle including resourcing, attendance, performance management, disciplinary and grievance issues. The key responsibilities for this role will be: * To monitor, manage and improve, in conjunction with managers, the HR KPIS and metrics for their area of responsibility. * To work with and actively support the area of responsibility to manage and pro actively resolve all aspects of the employee life cycle. This includes resourcing, attendance, performance management, disciplinary and grievance issues, talent identification and succession planning. * To ensure best practice is followed by providing effective professional HR (Human Resources) advice and guidance in line with current legislation and company policies and procedures. * Improvement in HR KPI's such as, Engagement level, employee absence, LTO, diversity statistics, agency usage, training statistics and employee development etc * Seeking methods of cost-saving. i.e efficiency savings in headcount, management of absence issues, timeliness of case management. * Carrying out a role of risk management in terms of management of employees; * To by fully involved and take responsibility for assigned areas of HR initiatives, that are integral to the company strategy. This may involve implementation of company wide strategic initiatives and / or the design and piloting of new initiatives. * Provide accurate and effective guidance on employee relation issues to avoid bad practice, employment tribunal claims and ultimately financial penalties. The client has specified that they will prioritise any candidates who have extensive experience as an HR Advisor/Officer or thorough experience as an HR Business Partner within multi site organisation, dealing with an array of HR issues, ideally within a unionised environment. It will also be a major advantage to have had experience of TUPE transfers too. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a market-leader in a very influential position.
