 Our first name is Community.In June of 1928, a group of Virginia investors started the Community Building & Loan Association.It was a challenging time. The Great Depression was approaching, yet these investors remained steadfast in their goal- to be the best community bank in the area.The bank survived the 1930s and steadily grew. Over the years, branches were strategically opened in communities where people needed a personal banker who listened to their needs. Today, we're Community Bank. We still offer that local focus and attention to your needs. And we now have eleven locations serving the communities of Staunton, Waynesboro, Stuarts Draft, Raphine, Lexington, Harrisonburg, Buena Vista, and Virginia Beach.
